Behind the Scenes of Law & Order: The Part of an Acting Dream You Rarely See

The Life of a Modern Renaissance Man: A Video Journal, entry 33

When I was a kid, I dreamed about being on television and in movies. Years later, getting to work on Law & Order: Organized Crime was one of those moments that reminded me how long a dream can stay with you before the world sees the result.

This behind-the-scenes video gives a look at my experience working on the show and exploring the set. I love sharing moments like this because the audience usually sees the finished episode. They don't get to see the years of training, the preparation, the waiting, the casting process, or the feeling of walking into a professional production and realizing you're actually part of it.

My career has taken me through theater, comedy, spoken word, television, and film. I appreciate how one discipline strengthens another. Theater taught me presence. Filmmaking sharpened my understanding of the camera. Comedy made me more willing to take risks. Every project becomes part of the toolkit I bring into the next audition.

I'm proud of that chapter, and I want more of it. The dream isn't just to collect credits. I want to keep working on powerful stories, collaborate with exceptional artists, and make performances that stay with people after the screen goes dark.

And yes, a small part of me still gets excited walking onto a set. I hope that part never grows up.
